I had the opportunity to shoot a maternity session with Ciarra last week.

Just wanted to share a few pics from my recent senior shoot with Crystal.

I was drawn outside yesterday because of the dew I could see on the grass. Once I got out there I found this little fly….

I got to shoot with Allison yesterday at 2 of the most beautiful places in Austin, Pennybacker Bridge and Mt Bonnell. We took advantage of this gorgeous weather that we have been having. Anyway, take a look and let me know what you think.

I love the character that is added to these shots by shooting on location.

I did add some color and textures on a few of these in the post processing, I think it really adds to the creepiness.

Was searching for a unique place for an outside shoot and I wasn’t disappointed. I don’t know much about the location other than what’s titled up above but it was a great location to shoot. Here are a few from my excursion out there. My model is Ashley and she had a great time getting all dirty and can’t wait to go back, gotta love that about her.

I wish I could say that I have been really busy since Austin After Dark, but I haven’t. I have worked a lot on my post processing and working a lot on a strobist style of shooting.  I have also been learning more and more about what my camera can actually do. I gotta tell ya, this Nikon D700 is quite amazing. Today I was working with the rear sync flash, also been working with the Nikon Creative Lighting System. Using the camera itself to control off camera flashes. Pretty cool system. I have been talking with a model about doing some location shoots in some abandoned and run down buildings in Austin. So hopefully that will come to fruition soon.

I spent the last few days at a great program called Austin AfterDark. I met some great people and learned a ton. There was so much going on, it was overwhelming at times. There were so many mentors there, I wish I would have had a chance to see more of them. Anyway, to everyone I met there, thank you for a great experience.

I had the opportunity to shoot with this lovely young lady and I think I got some great captures. Make up, which was amazing, was provided by Tavia.

It’s been so hot and dry recently. Even when it did rain in the area, it somehow always managed to just skirt us or give us just a tease of a sprinkle then nothing. Well, we finally got a few inches of rain this last weekend. I snapped a few pics, processed one of them into b/w. I like how it came out.

As far as my latest project, Jessa stopped by the studio and we had an interesting shoot. More to come soon.
